Privacy Policy for Cards: Word Flashcards

Last updated: October 5, 2026

Cards: Word Flashcards (the "App") is a flashcard app for learning words, developed by Tufatulin Timur ("I", "me"). This policy explains what data the App handles.

Summary

The App has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your cards stay on your device. The only data that ever leaves your device is the word you type, and only if automatic translation is turned on.

Data stored on your device

The words, translations, transcriptions and languages you add, as well as your settings (default language, card color, whether tips were shown), are stored locally on your device. I do not have access to this data and it is not uploaded to any server operated by me.

Automatic translation

If "Suggest translation automatically" is enabled in Settings, the word you enter is sent to the Google Cloud Translation API to get a suggested translation. The request contains the word, the source language and the target language (your device language). Google receives this request over an encrypted connection and, like any internet service, can see your IP address. Google processes this data under its own terms and privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. For Google Cloud Translation, see also the Cloud Data Processing Addendum.

The data is not linked to your identity by the App, and I do not store these requests. You can turn automatic translation off at any time in Settings; then no words are sent anywhere.

What I do not collect

Children

The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Deleting your data

You can delete any card inside the App. Deleting the App removes all data it stored on your device.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
